FAQ
What should my application include?
We operate in a knowledge-based industry, which is why your skills are our most important resource. Your application should therefore clearly convey why you’re passionate about joining Junior Consult, as well as why we should choose you specifically. We’re looking for dedication and professionalism, so it pays to stand out from the crowd—we don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions.
Your application must include the following:
- Motivation
- Resume
- Transcripts, minimum remaining credits from the start of the bachelor's program
- Relevant statements
Please combine the above documents into a single PDF file (use www.pdfmerge.com, for example).
How do I apply?
The completed application, compiled into a single PDF document, should be uploaded to our internal system via the following link:
How should I prepare for the interview?
Immediately after the application deadline, Junior Consult will let you know whether you have been invited to the first interview, which lasts about 30 minutes. The purpose of this interview is to get to know you better, and it includes:
- An introduction to Junior Consult, where we present our day-to-day operations and values.
- A personal interview during which we will discuss your application, including your academic background, your motivation for applying for the job, and your personal and professional qualifications.
After the first interview, the most qualified candidates are invited to a second interview, which focuses on practical problem-solving. This interview lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes:
- A short case study that gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in structured problem-solving.
Before both the first and second interviews, we recommend that you reflect on the following questions:
- Why do you want to be a consultant at Junior Consult?
- What can you bring to Junior Consult?
- Why should you, in particular, be the new consultant at Junior Consult?
- Your role on a team at Junior Consult.
What should I expect from a case interview?
The purpose of the case interview is not to test your theoretical foundation and academic knowledge. On the contrary, it is to get a sense of your immediate approach to a potential problem.
The case study will be based on a problem you might encounter in a job at Junior Consult and will include simple calculations.
In addition to the case study, there may also be a guesstimation question, which could, for example, be a simple question such as: “How many water bottles were sold at Smukfest in 2019?” We don’t expect you to give us the correct answer, but we’re very interested in how you approach the problem in a structured and logical way.
What happens after the interview?
Immediately after all interviews have been conducted, the new prospective consultants will be notified of their hiring.
You will then participate in an onboarding program designed to ensure that you get the best possible start as a consultant. Of course, we don’t expect you to be fully qualified as a consultant right away, but we aim to integrate new consultants quickly—in part through the onboarding program and by assigning a mentor to each new consultant.
